Visible gold in a quartz vein, representative of the Anvil Zone shear mineralisation

The Anvil Zone is a shear-hosted, moderately north-plunging gold zone hosted in andesitic volcanics. Twelve diamond drill holes define the current interpretation: a mineralised shear package 15–25 m true width, sitting below a 10–12 m oxide cap, dipping steeply and plunging north from roughly 55 m below surface at the southern end of the pattern to over 90 m at the northern end.

What the block model on this page actually is

Every block you see in the model above is an inverse-distance-weighted estimate from the assay composites in our twelve holes, restricted to a 70 m search radius — a block further than that from every hole is left ungraded rather than guessed at. Move the cut-off sliders and the model recolours in real time against the mining-economics break-even formula, not a lookup table.

What is still to do

The current model is informed by first-pass drilling on roughly 60–90 m centres. An infill and step-out program (holes AZ-013 through AZ-018, assays pending) is designed to tighten the pattern to 40 m centres through the highest-grade part of the shear and test the plunge another 120 m north, where the pattern currently runs out. A Preliminary Economic Assessment is scheduled once that program is assayed.

Metallurgy

Variability test work to date supports gravity-plus-leach recovery in the low 90s per cent range on composite samples from the shear zone. The Bond work index for the host andesite — the number that sizes the grinding circuit — is discussed on the technical data page alongside the comminution calculator.
